 “Contrast” solo show

Philippe Labaune Gallery - Chelsea, New York (USA)

September 2023

After several exhibitions in Paris, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, NOIR Artist has this time chosen to tackle the world capital of art and the cradle of street art: New York.

For several months, the NOIR team worked tirelessly to organise a large-scale artistic project designed to raise the profile of NOIR Artist on the New York scene. And to make this dream come true, NOIR has pulled out all the stops!

On the one hand, a monumental exhibition on a giant screen in Times Square at the Cube Art Fair 2023. On the other, a life-size (but equally incredible) exhibition in a prestigious New York art gallery, the Philippe Labaune Gallery

During a prospecting mission last June, NOIR Artist crossed paths with Philippe Labaune. A gallery owner for 2 years in the Big Apple, the Frenchman was seduced by NOIR Artist's work and the meeting was immediate. Philippe Labaune then offered us an invitation we couldn't refuse: an exhibition entirely devoted to NOIR Artist in his gallery.

The event

From 5 to 12 September, NOIR's works adorned four magnificent walls of the Philippe Labaune Gallery.

To crown this artistic event, NOIR had the chance to be honoured for a whole evening. On 11 September 2023, the famous "Belgian Mondays" took place, organised by Belgian Anne Savonie, who has now been living in New York for 30 years. The aim of this event is to bring together Anne Savonie's Belgian contacts on one Monday of each month in New York, and this time she took the opportunity to gather her address book around the work of NOIR Artist at the Philippe Labaune Gallery.

On the programme: live-painting by NOIR guided by the gentle melodies played by French harpist Margot Sergent. And to add that little Belgian touch, NOIR Artist offered guests a tasting of Belgian wines and a personalised gift concocted by the Belgian chocolate house BE Chocolat, based in upstate New York.
