To celebrate the end of the 2023-2024 artistic season, NOIR Artist has decided to mark the occasion by holding its second exhibition in its studio gallery, the NOIR Gallery.

First duo show

A couple in life, NOIR Artist and Pauline Dubisy are exhibiting as a duo for the first time. Their distinct but complementary pictorial worlds reflect their essential need to immerse themselves in creation. As spectators of the world, they bring hope, beauty, balance and a sense of harmony out of the chaos. In the form of works and murals, they offer an artistic vision of reality, one using shades of black, the other the intensity of colours and symbols.

Trained in painting at ESA Saint-Luc Liège, NOIR Artist explores first and foremost a dark world full of tension by saturating his works with information and with very little breathing space. For him, this is the best way of painting a "mirror" of the society, as he sees it and feels it.In the early days, NOIR Artist used a monochrome palette of black and white, creating works of unique depth. Over time, Lucien has incorporated touches of colour and flecks of gold leaf, adding vibrancy and positive messages, while retaining his signature shades of black.

An artist based in Liège, Pauline Dubisy seeks to share her wonder at the mysteries of the universe, beauty, nature and the human condition. She explores contrasts by combining various painting techniques, blending light and shadow, the sacred and the everyday. Inspired by the sweetness of life and adversity, as well as by her spirituality and her need for harmony, She creates with poetry. In a perpetual quest for research and freedom, she experiments with new creative processes. Through her works, books, murals and workshops, she wants to pamper our connection to life, to nature and to our own light.
